A satisfying and nutitious soup. This hearty beef soup recipe has all the food choices needed for a complete meal Especially if you combine it with Cheese Biscuits Hamburger Soup Complete1 lb. (450 g) ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cups (500 ml) cubed potatoes 1 cup (250 ml) chopped celery 1 cup (250 ml) diced carrots 1 cup (250 ml) dry lentils, rinsed ½ cup (125 ml) pearl barley 8 cups (2 liters) water 2 teaspoon (10 ml) beef bouillon granules 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt ½ teaspoon (3 ml) lemon pepper seasoning 38 oz (1080 ml) cans tomatoes In a skillet, cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Layer with the potatoes, celery, carrots, lentils and barley. Combine the water, bouillon, salt and lemon pepper; pour over vegetables.
