Chocolate Bar Recipe

A chewy, chocolate bar recipe. This snack can be refrigerated for 2 weeks or frozen for up to one month.
1 cup (250 ml) butter 1 cup (250 ml) smooth or chunky peanut butter 4 cups (1 liter) confectioners (icing) sugar 2½ teaspoon (3 ml) vanlla extract
Mix well. Pour into 8 x 8 inch ungreased pan. Let cool. Cut into squares
½ cup (125 ml) dark raisins 3 ounces ((84 grams) rice krispies ½ ounce (19 grams) each unsalted shelled roasted peanuts (chopped) and miniature marhsmallows 2 teaspoons (10 ml) shredded cocoanut ½ cup (125 ml)peanut butter 2 ounces (56 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Soak raisins in hot water. Set aside. Line 9¼ x 5¼x 3-inch loaf pan with wax paper, or parchments paper. In a small bowl combine raisins with remaining ingredients except peanut butter and chocolate chips. Microwave peanut butter at medium for 2½ to 4 minutes until melted; then, add to cereal mixture, stirring to coat. Press mixture into lined pan. Melt chocolate chips in microwave with medium power 2½ to 4 minutes until smooth. Spread chocolate over peanut butter mixture, cover pan with plastic wrap. Refrigerate or freeze until mixture is firm. Cut mixture into 8 equal bars
1 pkg. (270 g) chocolate chipits 1 pkg. (270 g) peanut butter chipits 1 pkg. (270 g) butterscotch chipits 1 pkg. ripple potato chips, crushed 2 cups (500 ml) chopped peanuts
Melt chipits in microwave. Stir and add potato chips and peanuts. Spoon into miniature paper cups. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
