Crescent Cookie Recipe
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
½ cup icing sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1¾ cup pre-sifted flour
¾ cup very finely chopped nuts
¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Cream butter, shortening and sugar with vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in flour gradually. Add nuts and mix well.
Pinch off small bits of dough. Roll into finger lengths and shape into crescents. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets in 375º F. oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.
1½ cups flour ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cinnamon
¾ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup mashed banana
1¾ cups rolled oats ½ cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 357º F. Mix flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cream margarine and sugars. Beat in egg, add mashed banana and then dry ingredients. Stir in oats. Drop on ungreased sheets, bake 10 minutes at 350º or until lightly browned.
