Here are some of my favorites easy dinner recipes. Lazy-Man Cabbage Rolls1 lb. (450 g)ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1 teaspoon (5 ml)salt ¼ teaspoon (1.5 ml)pepper 3 tablespoon (45 ml)raw rice 1 (10 oz./284ml) can tomato soup 1 soup can of water 3 cups (750 ml)coarsely shredded cabbage In fry pan, brown meat then drain off fat. Add onion and rice to pan; then tomato soup, water, salt and pepper. In greased casserole dish, place cabbage on bottom then spoon meat soup mixture over cabbage. Bake at 325º F. for 1½ hours. Variation: Replace tomato soup with: Hamburger, Chow Mein Casserole1 lb hamburger, browned2 onions, browned with hamburger 1 can mushroom soup 1 can water 1 can mushrooms ½ cup cashew nuts 1 can chicken rice soup 1 stalk celery, cut (cook until tender) 4 oz chow mein noodles Mix together.
