Fresh Fruit Salad Recipes
Quick and Easy
Similar to the traditional Waldorf Salad but with a few changes, this fresh fruit salad recipes Apple Cheese Toss is quick and easy to make.
The second recipe 24 Hour Salad adds zest to your holiday menu and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

- 1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
- ¼ cup (60 ml) liquid honey
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) lemon juice
- 4 cups (1 liter) diced, cored red apples
- 1¼ cup (310 ml) diced Canadian Colby cheese(or Canadian cheddar, Havarti, Brick or Farmers' cheese)
- 1 cup (250 ml) sliced celery
- ½ cup (125 ml) walnut pieces
- Leaf lettuce
- In a small bowl, combine sour cream, honey and lemon juice.
Chill dressing at least 1 hour to blend flavours. Just before serving, combine apples, cheese, celery and nuts in large bowl. Pour in dressing and toss lightly to combine. Spoon into lettuce-lined bowl and serve. - Serves 6
A salad that is a traditional Christmas favorite in our house.- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 can (14 fl. oz/398 ml) pineapple tidbits (can be cut in halves)
- 4 tablespoons (60 ml) vinegar
- 1 can (10 fl. oz/284 ml) mandarin orange, cut into pieces
- 4 tablespoon (60 ml) white sugar
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) butter
- 2 cups (500 ml) miniature marshmallows
- 2 cups (500 ml) eating grapes (cut in halves)
- 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream
- Place eggs in microwave dish and whisk. Add vinegar and sugar.
Microwave at MED HIGH stirring every 30 seconds until mixture is thick and smooth. Remove from oven and add butter. Let cool. Fold in whipped cream and fruit. Set in mould for 24 hours.
